Stars - Part 8

Eliot was sitting in front of a camera that was recording him. Aaron was sitting by the camera with James. He was extremely restless, and James was annoying him to no end. James knew the limits, how he could bend things, and when he couldn't. Earlier, he had been quick to arrest Eliot, but now he wanted to record whatever Eliot had to say, then decide whether to go to Gray or not. Aaron tried to calm himself as Eliot began to speak: "Gray is my closest friend. He knows everything about me, and I trust him completely...but he's not right in the head. He always liked blood,... and hamsters! God! The things he used to do with them. I knew he was cruel, but he was always extra nice to me.  "It was tolerable since he never hurt humans....but then he gave me teeth as a gift. He was super proud. I don't know why he thought I would love it, but I hated it. Recently, he stopped giving me those as gifts-" Aaron interrupted, "How long has it been? When did he give ...

Aaron didn't waste any time and made a deal with Lucas for teeth. If Lucas were any older, he would have become suspicious of Aaron's readiness, but luck has been really on Aaron's side.  Lucas had no idea what the big deal with teeth was. He could get these teeth checked by forensics to know for sure if they were real. He handed those teeth to the forensics team.  James had been keeping an eye on Aaron. He showed up and watched the team testing the teeth in a rush. The case was of high priority, so everyone quickly started to run the tests on the teeth. "Are those real teeth you told me about? Related to Mr. Manner?...

Stars - Part 6

James, Aaron's police friend, was holding the notes Aaron had been taking on the Star-Killer. Aaron, on the other hand, had his head held down in shame and was fidgeting with his fingers. The police were still going through his apartment for more notes. He had already told everything to James. He had no choice since he was caught anyway, and the only way to keep the trust the police had in him was to tell the truth without hiding anything. James sighed and spoke, "If he wanted you to find him alone, and killed a person to keep you from getting a chance to talk to us, then why did he challenge you like this in public with his message?" The long silence before this question, while everyone stared at Aaron in disappointment, had given him enough time to know the answer to this question. He sighed and spoke quietly. "I changed my route that day. If I hadn't done that, I would have been the first person to find that message along with his heinous deed. He knew I would...
